Christopher Rozell and his fiance drove four hours to Manhattan from upstate New York on Saturday to attend the Worldwide Freedom Rally.
“We are here to tell the government that we are done with their mask mandates and done with their foolish vaccines,” Rozell told Union Square Times. “I am not anti-vaxx but I am not pro-vaxx. I am in favor of living a healthy lifestyle as a deterrent.”
Rozell, dressed in a Revolutionary War uniform, was among hundreds of protestors who attended the Union Square protest, which was being held simultaneously in all major cities. Anti-vaxx refers to individuals who oppose inoculation or laws that mandate vaccination.
"We are taking back our lives before the public health policymakers, the politicians, and unethical media sources do any more damage with their erratic science and unreliable statistics about the pandemic," Event Organizer Cara Castronuova said.
